Zakath is an essential pillar of Islam, and it is the duty of every Muslim to give Zakath to those who are eligible. However, due to the lack of a proper channelization of the Zakath system in India, many Muslims continue to face poverty and social challenges.
Zakath Seekers who are in need lose their dignity and respect in society, when asking for help. At the same time, the valuable Zakath given by Muslims does not always reach the truly deserving.
To change this, we must come together. A transparent and organized system is the need of the hour to ensure that Zakath reaches the truly deserving Muslims. ZakathPay.com is an Initiative of the MEET (Muslim Empowerment Educational Trust). We connect Zakath givers with people who truly need help.
In February 2026, In the Holy Month of Ramadan, we started ZakathPay.com — a simple and transparent crowdfunding website. Here, we serve as a bridge to connect Zakath seekers with Zakath givers.
www.ZakathPay.com is an initiative of the Muslim Empowerment Educational Trust (MEET), founded in 2025 by Dr. Thameena Begum along with a team of socially committed professionals and volunteers.
MEET (Muslim Empowerment Educational Trust) was established during the holy month of Ramadan 2025. Our first initiative was the Ulama Empowerment Fund (UEF), a pilot project where we invited small donations of just ₹200 per month.
The overwhelming encouragement from early supporters of the UEF scheme inspired us to think bigger. This vision gave birth to www.ZakathPay.com.
Our journey continues with the mission of organizing the way Zakath is collected and distributed.
2025 – Formation of MEET during Ramadan and launch of the Ulama Empowerment Fund (UEF).
2026 – www.ZakathPay.com launched under MEET to unite Zakath givers and seekers on a trusted digital platform.
2027 and Beyond – Insha Allah, expanded operations across India, focusing on education, healthcare, and livelihood support.
To build one of India's most trusted and impactful Zakath-based Platform, transforming unorganized charity into a structured and collective force for empowerment.
To channelize Zakath and Sadaqah into verified and impactful causes that uplift the underprivileged, ensuring accountability, transparency, and sustainability.
